2-charge circular fuzz-balls and their perturbations

A bstract We perform a detailed study of perturbations around 2-charge circular fuzz-balls and compare the results with ones obtained in case ‘small’ BHs. In addition to photon-sphere modes that govern prompt ring-down, we also find branch long-lived QNMs localised inside at (meta)stable minimum radial effective potential. The latter are expected dominate late time signals form ‘echoes’. Moreover, contrary BHs, some ‘static’ tidal Love numbers non-zero independent mass, charges angular momentum fuzz-ball. rely on recently established connection between BH or fuzz-ball perturbation theory quantum Seiberg-Witten curves for $$ \mathcal{N} N = 2 SYM theories, which turn related Liouville CFT via AGT correspondence. test our against numerical Leaver’s method continuous fractions Breit-Wigner resonance direct integration WKB approximation based geodesic motion. probe approximation, exclude rotational super-radiance, due absence an ergo-region, absorption, horizon.
